Cynthia Jobe

Project Director

 

Cynthia is a native of Quincy IL and has lived in the region most of her life. 

Cynthia became the RSVP Project Director in August 2006.  She is responsible for overall program management and oversight.  In addition, Cynthia evaluates the program to assess achievement of goals and objectives and develops financial resources to support the programs of RSVP by preparing proposals for federal, state, county, city, United Way, and other granting agencies.  The Project Director prepares newsletters and media materials about RSVP volunteers and projects, serves on community boards, councils, and committees and hosts volunteer recognition events. 

Cynthia holds a M.S. in Community Development from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  Previously she worked as nonprofit consultant and as an extension educator for the University of Wisconsin & Auburn University.

Virginia Nettleton

Project Assistant

Virginia joined RSVP in February  2006 as the RSVP Project Assistant.  Virginia’s responsibilities include data management, coordinating RSVP volunteers for special projects, helping organize annual volunteer appreciation events, and helping the Project Director to develop and manage the RSVP program.

Virginia is a St. Louis area native and a 1961 University of Missouri-Columbia Journalism graduate.  She has been a copywriter, editor, event planner and census enumerator at various times in her career.

Virginia has three children and three grandchildren.  Her son lives in Beijing, China; one daughter is in Reno, NV; and another daughter lives with her family in Columbia, MO.
